Who Are You?

We’re often guided by the misconception that we are human beings who have occasional spiritual experiences, on contrary, we’re actually spritual beings having a human experience.
Ask yourself, who am I?
Are you your body?
You are not your body. Say you had to have your leg amputated, if you were your body, amputating your leg would make you less of a person. You wouldn’t be a whole person. We all know that physical disabilities don’t make a person any less. You’d still be you!
Are you your reputation and achievements?
If you hadn’t done what you’ve done in your life, would you not be you? If your college degree and your highly regard status were taken away from you, who would you be?
You cannot control your reputation. Your repuatation is what others think of you, you cannot be responsible for what others think of you, for you cannot control their thoughts! If you meet fifty people, you’ll have fifty different reputations.
All you should be concerned about is your character and conducting yourself in alignment with your values.
Your not your body, your not your reputation, you can change your name and still be the same person. So then who are you?
What is it that thinks these thoughts?
Sure your body is controlled by you brain, but what is it that instructs the brain?
Who are you?
